Championing bees and beekeeping within our community
Join us for our final pub night before the winter meeting programme begins in October.
Tuesday 22 September
From 7:30pm
The Kirky Puffer
We’ll gather in our usual nook area. With the club continuing to grow, we may need to spread into another part of the pub, but we’ll play that by ear on the night.
The evening is open to members and non-members alike. Whether you’re an experienced beekeeper, just getting started or simply interested in finding out more, you’ll be very welcome!
Welcome to our website for bee enthusiasts. Our SBA-affiliated club is a not-for-profit organisation and our membership area stretches across the north of Glasgow and throughout the Kelvin Valley. This includes Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Lenzie, Torrance, Lennoxtown, Milngavie, Bearsden, Kilsyth, Strathblane, and the areas in between.
Whether you're dabbling in beekeeping for the first time or you've been at it for years, we're here to support and inspire. If you're eager to learn about beekeeping but unsure where to begin, or if you are not yet ready to set up your apiary, you're in the perfect place. We warmly invite you to become part of our buzzing community.
Members can join us for evening meetings, once a month from October to March in Milngavie. During the buzz of bee season in the summer, we swap our meetings for lively open days hosted in the apiaries of our club members. A perfect chance to see beekeeping in action! We also run a What's App group for members where we swap information, support, and tips on our experiences. Our annual membership fee is £10.00. See our joining page for more details.
