An introduction to Kelvin Valley Beekeepers Association and the essentials of getting started with beekeeping.

Wednesday 11 November 2026 – Beginning Beekeeping

Building on our October session, we’ll explore the practical steps involved in starting out and managing your first colony.

Wednesday 9 December 2026 – AGM, Honey Tasting and Quiz

Our Annual General Meeting, followed by honey tasting and a light-hearted beekeeping quiz.

Wednesday 13 January 2027 – Danny’s Diary: World Tour

Danny shares stories, photographs and beekeeping-related updates from his travels around the world.

Wednesday 10 February 2027 – Bee Diseases

An informative session covering common bee diseases, how to recognise them and the steps beekeepers can take to protect their colonies.

Wednesday 10 March 2027 – Spring Build-up and Queen Rearing

Preparing colonies for the new season, encouraging a strong spring build-up and an introduction to practical queen-rearing techniques.

April – Honey Extraction - The date for the April session will be confirmed nearer the time.

A practical session covering the process of removing, extracting and preparing honey for jarring.
