Swarms & Swarm-Collection Requests
We are a volunteer-run beekeeping club. Whenever possible we will help to re-home honey-bee swarms that are:
outdoors (e.g. on trees, shrubs, fences) and
easily reached without ladders, scaffolding or specialist equipment.
We cannot collect swarms that are:
inside chimneys, roofs, wall-cavities or other parts of a building, or
in locations that, in our judgment, place people, property or the bees at unacceptable risk.
Important – no-liability statement
Our members offer this service free of charge, as unpaid volunteers.
By asking us to attend you acknowledge that:
Any advice or assistance is provided at your own risk.
You (the property owner/occupier) remain responsible for the safety of your property, yourself and anyone on site.
We accept no responsibility for loss, damage or injury.
If you spot a swarm that meets the outdoor/easy-access criteria above, email us at kelvinvalleybka@gmail.com … or send us a Facebook message with:
• Your postcode,
• A photo if possible, and
• A contact telephone number.
One of our volunteers will call you back as soon as we can.
